| Greg Mueller Wins Two at 2009 WSOP |
 Hockey-pro-turned-poker-pro Greg Mueller, had made six WSOP final tables before he finally won the $10k Limit Hold'em World Championship last week days. On Sunday night, in his first final table appearance since, Mueller managed to win his second piece of World Series gold. The game was Limit Hold'em, but this time it was the $1,500 Shootout and Mueller had to beat fellow 2009 WSOP bracelet holder Marc Naalden heads-up to solidify the win. Mueller now has two Limit Hold'em bracelets under his belt now, and is widely considered one of the best Limit players in the pro poker world today."It definitely says a lot about my Limit Hold'em game right now," Mueller said. "They say good things come in threes and there's still a couple more events to go here." | Ankenman Wins First Bracelet |
 Jerrod Ankenman defeated Sergey Altbregin in heads-up play to win the WSOP's $2,500 Mixed Event. Ankenman made a name for himself when he co-wrote the book "The Mathematics of Poker" with co-author, two-time WSOP gold bracelet winner Bill Chen. Ankenman won a WSOP bracelet and $241,637 in prize money, and at the final table took as Dario Alioto, Layne Flack and Jon Turner. Originally from Avon, CT.
