David Ulliott

Coming from a small, Northern England town called Hull, David “The DevilFish” Ulliott is a real character that is as mysterious and cutthroat as his nickname. His nickname was previously “Dave the Clock,” which was given to him after he showed up with a grandfather clock as his buy-in to a local game. It was later replaced in 2001 when an upset (still anonymous) Chinese player lost a big pot to him and snidely called him a “DevilFish”—a poisonous, killer fish. It stuck.

One of a few non-Americans to win a World Series of Poker event, The DevilFish started playing poker at age 18. While is favorite game is Omaha High, during non-poker days, he makes his trade as a jeweler. Many admire his large rings on each hand. One reads “DEVIL,” the other “FISH.”
