Usually seen sporting a basketball jersey, Phil Ivey has quickly become one of the top poker players around the world. Since jumping into the poker fire a few years ago, he has frequented many final tables, earning himself the title as the “Tiger Woods of Poker.” He’s a quiet player, who is incredibly focused and seems to take in everything…while his opponents slowly wither away. At only 28-years-old, Phil has been playing professionally for just over 10 years. In the year 2000, he won his first World Series of Poker title at age 23 for Pot Limit Omaha, taking away $195,000. While he’s most known for his no-limit playing ability, he’s also a very good Seven Card Stud player. In fact, he won the 2002 WSOP Seven Card Stud event and made it to the final table in 2003. Phil grew up in New Jersey and currently lives in Atlantic City. His first love was video games. Fun Facts and Finishes
