Quads or Quadruplets:

Four-of-a-kind.

Qualifier:

The minimum standard a hand must meet in order for it to be eligible for part of the pot.

Quart:

A four-card straight flush.

Quartered:

To be “quartered” means to win one fourth of the pot. This is common in games such as Omaha Hi-Lo.

Quinine:

Queen-nine (Q9).

Quint:

A straight flush.

Quitting Time:

An agreed-upon time to end a game. This is also known as the “curfew”.

Quorum:

The minimum number of players needed to start a game.
