Barney Frank Rallies For Online Gambling at the WSOP E-mail
Barney FrankRepresentative Barney Frank made the trip to Las Vegas to show his support for the UIGEA to be reversed and have online gambling regulated and legal in the United States.

He made an announcement to close to 2000 poker players at the WSOP main event on Sunday in which he said the right of online gambling should be protected. Phil Hellmuth had some further comment on the matter, saying that the online gambling boom will increase whether the USA relaxes their laws or not.

A number of delays have so far occurred in Barney Franks campaign to bring a bill that would regulate online gambling in United States in front of congress but he seems confident that he will be successful and Americans will once again be able to wager online for the first time, legally, since September 2006. Previous attempts were stopped by a congress largely made up of Republicans but now with President Barack Obama at the helm and the democrats controlling the House and the Senate another proposal is due.
